THE SYMBOL “PROTECTION OF LIFE”
The symbol depicted in the picture is one of the most common proto Bulgarian runic signs that had reached our days by archaeologists’ discoveris of different artifacts from that historic period. According to the interpretations of the scientists the symbol means “Protection of life.” The Proto Bulgarian runes are an ancient system of signs that the Bulgars had used till the 10th century in parallel with the Cyrillic alphabet. The system contains 50 characters and is not yet completely deciphered. The reason is the presence of a very small number of artifacts associated with the runic signs, which hinders their entire reading.
