BULGARIA – GREAT, ANCIENT, HUGE, WISE
The picture represents a collective image of Bulgaria, bringing together the past of the Bulgarian nation from the dawn of its origin and its heroic history, through its stormy presence till the hope and the faith in its bright future. The idea of this image is represented by five letters from the Proto Bulgarian Glagolic alphabet: in the center is placed the letter for the sound “B” symbolizing the word “BULGARIA,, , at the top of the left side stands the letter for the sound “G” symbolizing the word “Great”, at the top of the right side is the letter for the sound “A”, which symbolizes the word “Ancient”, at the bottom of the left side stands the letter for the sound “H” symbolizing the word “Huge” and at the bottom of the right side is painted the letter for the sound “W” symbolizing the word “Wise”. The central letter is placed in the centre of the circle, which represents the spiritual protection of this ancient nation.
